Manic Monday

Well people... Here we sit. Ryleigh started her infusion at 830 this morning. We hope to be done and out of here by 330 this afternoon where we will stop and buy our usual Sonic Slushies on our way home.

Until then we are set with our pudding, apple juice and hot chocolate. I even see a game of 10,000 or cribbage in our near future. And it's not so bad when we have a view like this.

Debits and Credits and General Ledgers

So....

It has been an INSANE week!

I've been so busy I can't even tell you.

It all started last Thursday when I got a call from my old job. They had a power outage last Monday and lost the function of 2 out 8 servers. After hiring an IT specialist to retain the data on those two servers it was found that the data was too corrupt to save. Boo! What did they lose??? Oh... just the last full year of ALL accounting data. It was a crazy amount of information.  So they called me and another past employee to come in and help re-enter all the data. There were 8 of us.  We each worked about 80 hours in the week (a few worked more) to get it all back on line.

Needless to say, I've missed my baby girl and my hubby! I've been away a lot this week. But I was able to make a little extra money which will help with the bills.

Now, I'm sitting here and I want to write something meaningful and important. But all I can think of is debits and credits and general ledgers. Eek!

Anyway... 

Today we had some family pictures done by the lovely Lynnette of Photography by Lynnette. I can't wait to get those back to share with everyone. It was a beautiful, sunny, snowy day.

Tomorrow, I have the day off to take Miss Ryleigh to a doctors appointment where we will spend the day hanging out, watching movies, and playing games. Hopefully, our day will go by quickly.  

Then, on Wednesday I am off to Sunny Phoenix for a week or so to spend some time with my parents.

And ... 

Since I don't like reading blogs without pictures (cause I love seeing everyone's cute kiddos). Here is a pic of my cute kiddo!  She is going to be 11 weeks old on Tuesday. It's gone by so fast!

Scales and Sidewalks

It has been a great week when it comes to my current goals in the weight loss department. 

I am happy to say that since last Sunday, I have lost 6 pounds!

Woot!

It has been difficult. Cutting sugar out of my diet is really hard, the cravings the first few days was unbearable. I even cheated and had a cookie on Monday and a piece of pizza on Wednesday. But I still lost some weight and I am excited to keep moving forward. 

I haven't made it to the gym yet. The Hubs and I are still debating whether or not we should go. I don't remember it being so expensive when the had our membership the last time. It is currently $55 a month. Which I can surely work into my monthly budget. My husband however, looks at expenses in terms of a yearly overhead cost, which would be $660. Looking at it that way sure does make it look like a lot of money.

His thought, "Why spend so much money to go run on a treadmill when you have a perfectly good 'free' sidewalk right outside our front door?" Ugh... I hate it when he's right.  So we'll have to see how the whole gym membership thing goes later. I would really like to attend the "Mommy and Me" swim class when Zoie is 6 months old. He I and both think that would be fun and beneficial. So we'll probably re-address the issue then. Until then, the sidewalk it is. I sure hope this unusually warm weather we've been having sticks around.

Well Friends, I am off to Zoie's two month check up this morning. Lots of shots :( Wish us luck, I might need it more than her.

2 Months

Our baby girl is 2 months old today.
I can't believe it has been two months since she joined us. The time is going by so quickly. I hope I can capture it all so I can remember her this little forever.

My baby girl reached for my finger last night. She has held our fingers before, but last night (Or was it early his morning? What does 2:00 am count as?) she reached out and took hold.

My heart could melt.

Today is the day

Today was the day to started my diet. I am taking responsibility for my actions (which consists of eating way to much and having a baby). It is time for me to start making a change.

My goal is to lose 46 pounds. I hate to admit where I currently am ... but I am stuck at the current weight of 186. Now... before you spit your milk out of your nose, relax... I am 5'8". So really (at least in my mind) I am not THAT over-weight. I am telling you all this because it will help me to lose the weight. There is no way I want to stay where I am. If you all know my weight now, it will feel great to tell you when that number starts to shrink.

I didn't get any kind of exercise in today, we went house hunting instead :)

But I did pretty well on my diet.

So far today, I have had 1 sugar serving, 3 carb servings, and dinner is slated to score a whopping: 0 Sugars/0Carbs. So I am on the right track! I also heard from my Momma that there is a new cook book at Costco. So now you all know where I'll be tomorrow.  I will also be headed to the gym to see when they will accept Zoie into the nursery so I can get my Work-Out on. For those of you that didn't know, it is very cold here. It's hard to run in the freezing cold.
