To share, or not to Share

Do you remember how a couple months ago I said I would blog every day? I remember saying it, but I sure haven't followed it. Lately it seems like I don't have a lot to blog about. There really isn't alot going on in our little world right now. Well, actually there is quite a bit going on, I'm just not sure how to decipher between the 'blog-worthy' and the not 'blog-worthy'. I think there is a fine line between the two.

So I need your opinion. I would like to blog about everything going on. I'd like to use this as a place to vent and to share. Mostly to share, I do the majority of my venting to my mom. (Thanks Momma)
What do you all think? Are there things you shouldn't share on a blog? I mean, it is out there for anyone to see and read. Pretty much anyone at all. I'm not big on keeping secrets, but when it comes to having step-kiddos, things I think I'd like to share and talk about, might not be things their mother would like me to share and talk about. And that, dear readers, is my biggest dilema.

The issues that have prompted these questions revolves around the kids. I'd like to talk about what is going on in our world right now. It would be great to have some support, or to even support someone in the same situation by the thoughts and feelings I have.

So... Do I share what is going on in my life regardless? (For the record, I haven't told her about my blog, but it's not like I'm keeping it a secret either.) So what do I do? Blog what I want and wait to hear the wrath if she doesn't like me sharing? Or try to keep my topics limited to myself? Nothing I want to write or share is mean, rude, or harmful to anyone in anyway at all. Just some things might be considered private to some people.

Need some advice. Thanks All!
Happy Wednesday!

Weekend Recap - Feb 12-13

Do you ever have one of those weekends where you really don't do much? But you still feel like you were really busy?

I had one of those weekends....

Friday night my parents came over for dinner. It was nice, they haven't both been in town since Christmas. So we had pizza and a movie at my house. It was nice to have a nice relaxing evening catching up with the folks.
We watched Pollyanna. One of my favorie movies from childhood. I just love little Haley Mills.

Saturday was pretty boring. I was up and going early. Had a late breakfast when Zach made me waffles and eggs... YUM. Then spent the day just hanging out at home. Read a little, watched some tv, ate a little. Pretty boring.

Sunday was fabulous. Another early morning;
I hate that I can't sleep in past 7:00. UGH
Had some cinnamon toast for breakfast
and watched some Grey's Anatomy.

By 11:00 we were out and rolling. We went to Borders where I got all the kiddos some books for Valentines Day.
Then we had lunch at Red Robin and got pedicures.
All 4 of us. Even Zach, he loves that.
Afterward we got a Starbucks and drove around looking at houses.

By the end of the afternoon we were back home working on homework and putting together Valentines for Rlyeigh's Classroom. I didn't get a picture of them, but this is what we had.
Aren't they Fabulous?!? We go them at Sweets Indeed.
They did a lovely job and I think they will be a HUGE hit with Ryleigh's class today.

So that was our weekend... How did your's go?

Embracing Gramma - Feb 10

Ok people... It's Thursday!
Time to Embrace the Camera.

I've been thinking a lot about our Cookie Gramma.
So named because she always had cookie dough in the freezer for the kids to bake when the came over. All the way back from when my husband was knee high to a grasshopper :)

We love you Gramma Ziegler.
I hope to get down and see you soon.

Are you embracing?? If not, you should be!

Eavesdropping

I try really hard not to be negative on here.
I don't think you all need to be bombarded with the things that are really bothering me.

But... when I think about it more... that is exactly what this is.
I need to write to vent and let things out and let them go.
I need to get things off my chest, and this is probably the best place for me to do that.

Here is my current frustration:
I am surrounded by people that can't mind their own business.
Just because you can hear what I am saying when I am speaking to someone other than you, does not give you the right to repeat what I say to other people. It does not give them the right to take that information and pass it on to others. I too, hear what others talk about in the office, but I ignore it. It is hard not to hear some things when you are surrounded by metal and glass... sounds carry. I get that. But to take what you hear and pass it on to others, to repeat what you hear is just plain rude. And CHILDISH!

So... to all the people in my office
that can't mind their own damn business:
Grow Up! You are not in high school anymore! It is time for you to start acting your age and stop eavesdropping on other people's conversations. If you do happen to hear what someone else is talking about... In one ear and out the other people! This is not the place for you to play your petty games and talk about others behind their backs. Nor is it the place for you to spread rumors. Just because you think you know what you heard... You didn't hear it all! You don't know! If I wanted you to know what I was up to and what is going on in my life, I WOULD TELL YOU!

There... I feel better now!

Weekend Recap

It feels like it has been an incredibly long weekend... and it's not finished yet.  hmmph

I started my weekend with a short Friday. As much as I enjoy my job (most days) it just feels good to take a Friday afternoon. I didn't even do anything, it was just good. I took a nap since I wasn't feeling well and spent most of the evening laying on the couch watching Grey's Anatomy.

I have a rediscovered Grey's Anatomy. Over the last few weeks I have been watching it from the beginning thanks to Netflix. I am almost through season 2 for the second time in my life, and I am rekindling my love for it. Remember Denny, just as sad the second time around...

Had two early mornings this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday I was up around 5:40. Not really sure why, but it sure makes me tired the rest of the day.

I finished a puzzle last night with the help of Ryleigh. It was a skyline of  Las Vegas; beautiful. Makes me want to go there. This morning we started a new puzzle of the Eifel Tower. We like puzzles, I think it is good for our brains, gives them a work out.

I st ill need to color my hair, been thinking about it the last few weeks but haven't done anything about it. I just can't bring myself to spend the money.

Watching the Superbowl right now... and blogging... the ultimate killing two birds with one stone. Now all I need is something with chocolate and my Sunday evening will be complete.

I hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend.

Superbowl Weekend with Bobby Flay

It's no secret... I have a deep, unconditional
LOVE for The Food Network.
Well, I have a love for Bobby Flay... or his food... or him...
maybe it's the food, I'm not really sure. Sometimes I refer to him as my kitchen boyfriend.
Luckily, Zach doesn't seem to mind much.

This guy isn't just a part of my life, he has become a part of my home, and a part of the family. I can't help it, I just love his food. How could you not? He cooks with a southwestern flare and everything has an added spice. Who couldn't use a little spice in their lives?

This weekend, for the Superbowl, Ari and I will be making homemade pretzels.
Not just any pretzels, My 'boyfriend' Bobby's pretzels from the Cooking Channel. My new love!

That's right, not just one but two whole channels for me to worship the cooking Gods.
Don't even get me start Paula Deen and The Neelys.

Don't they look awesome! I can't wait!
Here we go... I've never made these before.

Embrace the Camera - February 3

I've been thinking a lot about my siblings lately.
I miss them....

Or maybe, what I really miss... Is being a kid with them.
Here are a couple from back in the day, when our only worry was what kind of cake we wanted for our birthday.
Ah, the simple joys in life.

I loved birthday's, everyone was happy when it was a birthday

Wow... the hair in this one. If that's not embarrassing......

How do I go back there?
Someone find me Doc and get me a Delorean!

How will you Embrace the Camera today?

Ariana

This Ariana! Or Ari for shorts...

I took this pic from her FB ;)

She is fantastic. Gets good grades. Has tons of friends.
Everyone loves her, including me!

This song makes me think of Ari. Everytime I hear it come on the radio, I can't help but think of her and her potential. She has the ability to do great things for herself and her life. She is so smart, she WILL accomplish a lot.

Ari, go and let your light shine! Do what you want to do, not what others want you to do. Don't follow the croud, you are better than that. You are a beautiful, intelligent young woman. Go show the world what you are worth. Now is the time to become the person you were meant to be. Most importantly, Be You!
