Thanksgiving

We took advantage of the beautiful snowy weather at my parents house in the woods this Thanksgiving. Was this a great day to take family pictures or what?
With the exception of Jake's hair, this didn't turn out so bad. But burr... was it cold.

Mom and Dad took advantage of the setting and took their first nice picture in years.

My cousin, Elisa and her family braved the cold for a few minutes with the babies to take a quick family picture.

Overall it turned out to be a Great Holiday with lots of good food and company.
We ended the night with some fabulous pie, and as my mom said... we all wobbled home.

... where Maci slept like a baby.... just kidding... it was only cider.

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday. Did you do anything memorable?

Back to the 30's

Had a fabulous 20's/30's themed birthday party for two Amazing Ladies on Saturday.
It turned out beautifully and could not have gone better.
Here is a little sneak peak  :-)

Embrace the Camera

This is my first entry into Embrace the Camera. I am never in front of the lense, always behind it. It is a rare occassion that I can get my husband to take the pictures.
Technically I am not the Momma here, but the step-Momma :) I don't kids of my own, but in my world, I have lots of important kiddos to love (and spoil).

This is Ariana, Ryleigh and Me. It wasn't taken today, we actually woke up to snow this morning. (I know... don't say that dirty four letter word YET) This was taken a few months ago at my parents home. I just love Ari's laughing face in this one.

Next week will be a new picture, I promise.

We've been padding our bras for years... butt...

Who knew there were pads out there for our bums?? I had never ever pondered this until...
While shopping last night with my Bestie, Sarah, we came across some pads of a lower nature while looking at bras and (Dare I say it... spanx).

This morning I looked online at these bum pads and have stumbled across an entire industry of bum lifters and pads for the "barely-there" bum and the "sagging" bum.

Now I know that if I ever need to add a little lift or bubble to my bum, I can visit Love my Bubbles. Where all my flat bum problems will be solved. Not that I need that anytime soon.

What I need at present is for someone to find a way to flatten my bum ... how do I do that without expensive, painful surgery??

Halloween Birthday

I know it has been quite a while since we had this party... and I apologize for putting off the pictures for SO long. But here we go.

This is the Halloween themed 2nd birthday party we had for my Godson, Ethan. We don't have a lot of pictures because we were all having way too much fun to slow down and take some.

It was held at the local Jump and Bounce. This place is fantastic. It is based in a warehouse and they have about 15 jumping castles. What kid doesn't love a jumping castle?? Am I right?

They also have a party room. The kids were all  able to jump and bounce to their hearts content for an hour and a half. Then, we had pizza and cake and presents in the party room.

Not bad for my second dessert table; if I do say so myself.
Where it all came from:
TomKat Studio : All printed labels
Rosauers : Cupcakes
Cake Pops : Made by Me
Treat Bags : Made by Elisa

Let the Planning Begin...

I can't believe it has been over a month since I was last on here.
It is crazy how fast time goes by... and how distracted I get.

Last night my Bestie Sarah came over for a little party planning. We talked, brain stormed, and I even made dinner. We are planning her 30th Birthday Party and I couldn't be more excited with our plans. It will be a joint party for Sarah and our high school friend, Natalie (who just got married last weekend). Crongratulations Natalie!!

Given they will both be 30 this month, we are going with a "Roaring 30's" theme. Sarah has even booked a Swing Band to play for the occassion. It is going to be GREAT!

This is a little bit of what we came up with last night. We have a day of shopping planned for Saturday to get everything  we need to make this party a success. Only one week to go, so much to do. But if anyone can handle the stress is the the duo of Kara and Sarah. Wish us luck! We might need it. (But I doubt it) ;)
